Old Age Home: State asked to identify land soon

JAMMU: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Viklang Chattra Trust through its organiser Satya Pal Saraf regarding better care of Old Age Home, a Division Bench of State High Court comprising Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur and Justice Bansi Lal Bhat of J and K High Court granted four weeks time to comply with the direction regarding identification of the land measuring about 16 Kanals to construct composite home at RS Pura Jammu and Samboora Pampore.
When this PIL came-up hearing, Division Bench observed that pursuant to the order dated 7th August, 2014 Divisional Commissioners of Jammu and Kashmir were directed to identify the land measuring about 16 Kanals to construct composite homes both for Jammu and Kashmir Divisions.
Upon this Senior AAG Gagan Basotra sought time to do the needful, Division Bench after hearing Senior AAG Gagan Basotra granted four weeks time to comply with the direction of this Court regarding identification for land for construction of old age homes in Jammu as well as Kashmir. JNF
