There are many MPs like Arun Jaitley, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Jyotiraditya Scindia, and several MLAs who have quit their office of profit after becoming ministers. They could have taken a similar plea that their work after 6 pm does not come under office of profit. This will set a bad precedent. Sidhu should fully direct his energy and efforts and do justice to his post. He will have to prove that he is the right candidate for the CM’s post in the 2022 Punjab Assembly polls. He has a golden opportunity to raise his stature in the dwindling Congress. He can make people of Punjab more happy as a politician than a TV personality.
