KATHUA: Lal Bahadur Shastri College of Education Rajbagh organised declamation contest on patriotism and nation building under the aegis of Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Kathua in the college auditorium.
Prof. Rakesh Singh Jasrotia of Govt. Degree College Kathua was the Chief Guest of the occasion while Pardeep Kumar, Parveen Sharma and Ekta were present as the Nehru Yuva Kendra representatives. The function was started with the lightening of traditional lamp by the Chief Guest, Principal of the College Dr. Janak Singh and other distinguished guests. Dr. Janak Singh informed Nehru Yuva Kendra is organising this contest at block level, then at Distt. Level, State and finally at National level to develop the sense of patriotism and nationalism among the youngsters. Twelve participants of the college participated in the contest in which Megha Sharma got the first prize while Shallu Chalotra stood at second position and Babli Sharma got the third position. Faculty members of the College Veena Sharma, Rajni Sharma, Priyanka Sharma and Rattan Chand were also present in the function. Subha Rani presented the vote of thanks.
