NSUI protests against fee hike

JAMMU: National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) on Tuesday held protest demonstration at fee counters of Jammu University demanding roll back on fee hike for examination and re-evaluation of Law Department.
Addressing the protestors, Avjyot Singh, State General Secretary NSUI said that university’s move to increase the examination fee and re-evaluation fee is not justified. He demanded immediate roll-back on the decision. NSUI disrupted the functioning of fee counters. Avjyot said that the university is collecting huge amount as fee from the students but is not providing the required facilities.
Further addressing the protestors Ajay Kumar National Delegate NSUI condemned Jammu University administration for sudden hike in the late fee of graduation courses saying that it will put unnecessary burden on students. Further NSUI warned JU administration to continue one year B.Ed course otherwise they will start district wise agitation in Jammu province.
Sunny Parihar, District President Jammu, Ranjot Singh and Nishant Gupta, State Secretaries, Raja Mahmud Khan and Rahul Dev Sharma were also present.
