NSUI for rollback of new job policy

JAMMU: Boycotting classes, students of all departments of Jammu University on Monday held a protest called by the National Students Union of India (NSUI).

Leading the protest in Jammu University, Neeraj Kundan, State President, NSUI said that youth of State are discouraged after government has proposed a very immature new recruitment policy which will result into nepotism, favoritism, corruption and employers will be forced to work according to the whims of legislators.

Kundan added newly elected legislators, who own properties worth corers are getting salary more than Rs 80,000, should also get salary as per norms of new recruitment policy so that they can realise miseries faced by youth of the State.

Present government who has completely deviated from social economic and developmental activities is leading state towards a deplorable situation.

Furthermore he said that government should respect sentiments of youth and provide them Job which was a slogan of both parties before elections.

People of the State are feeling cheated by both parties and feeling that their vote has been wasted by electing an inefficient government.

Neeraj Kundan has demanded an immediate roll back of so called recruitment policy and demanded strengthening of institutions like Service Selection Boards.

Ajay Kumar (National Delegate NSUI) and Avijot Singh (State General Secretary NSUI) also spoke on the occasion and laminated state government for its failure to provide jobs for youths even though, there are lot of vacancies which are to be filled as per rights of youths.

Other NSUI activists present during the protest include Amjad Bhatt State Vice President NSUI, Ranjot Singh State Secretary NSUI, Nishant Gupta State Secretary NSUI, Sunny Parihar District President NSUI Jammu, Prakash Singh Dadwal District President NSUI Kishtwar, Satvinder Singh, Shaibaaz Raza Kohli and Khalid Alaie.
