SURANKOT: A ten days’ NSS camp organised at Government Degree College Surankot concluded here on Monday in which a large number of volunteers, both boys and girls participated.
During the camp a variety of programmes and activities like cleanliness of the college, organising lecture on blood donation and symposium on AIDS awareness were organised. On last day of the camp the volunteers visited Shahpur (Gontrian) and took a brief review of health, sanitation, hygiene, socio – economic conditions and damages caused due to recent heavy rains in the area.
All these activities were performed under the overall supervision of Dr. Mushtaq A Lone Principal and NSS programme Officer Prof. Abdul Razaq.
Dr. Lone while speaking on the occasion appreciated the efforts of programme officer and zeal, enthusiasm exhibited by the volunteers.
