NSS camp on World Environment Day by JK College of Education concludes

JAMMU: National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers of JK College Education organised a three-day environment awareness camp.

On the first day, extempore was organised in which NSS volunteers took part and spoke on the different topics related to conservation and preservation of environment.

On day two, NSS volunteers along with faculty members visited adopted village Bandurakh wherein cleanliness drive was conducted.

Later, a rally was flagged off by the Shashi Chaudhary, Principal of the college in which NSS volunteers carried different placards and slogans depicting the theme.

On the last day, NSS volunteers visited to Government Middle School, Bandhurakh where a drawing competition was organised on the theme ‘Save Environment’ in which students participated enthusiastically. Thereafter stationary items and refreshment were distributed to the students.

Neelam Mahajan, Programme Officer thanked the school authorities for their support and cooperation and also highlighted the need and importance of environment conservation for future generation.

Rishi Kotwal, Principal Government Middle School, Bandhurakh appreciated the efforts put forth by the NSS unit of JK College of Education and motivated the volunteers to organise such events in the future. He also thanked all the volunteers and Programme Officer for making their students aware of the burning issue.
