NPSU protests over neglect of Dogra heritage
STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: National Panthers Student Union (NPSU) activists on Friday held a protest against the State Government for failing to protect the Dogra heritage and history in the State.
The activists of NPSU gathered in front of the main gate of University of Jammu and burned the effigy of Dy. CM amidst anti-government slogans.
State President NPSU, Thakur Virender Singh, who led the protest, lambasted the silence of Dy. CM over the issue of sinking of Dogra heritage sight (Mubarak Mandi).
The Mubarak Mandi complex in Jammu located at the crown of this ancient town is not only a historical monument of archeological value to attract the curious tourists, but it is unfortunate that this great insignia is subjected to a systematic perish.
Singh warned the State Government that if some positive steps of saving Dogra heritage sights are not taken then NPSU is going to launch full-fledged agitation.
Others present in the pro-test included Rishi Badyal, Sourav Singh, Shubam Jasrotia, Sumit, Shubam Chib, Shubam Jamwal, Rudhrapratap Singh and Chetan Sharma.
