NPSU alleges favoritism, prejudice in JU appointments

JAMMU: In the wake of alleged pre-fixed appointments pertaining to kith and kin of politicians and bureaucrats in the University of Jammu (JU), NPSU activists led by State President Thakur Virender Singh burnt the effigy of Governor in the University premises, here on Monday.
Thakur Virender Singh lambasted the authorities of University of Jammu for indulging in malpractices related to favouritism in appointments. He urged the Governor to initiate an independent inquiry to probe into the matter within seven days or else NPSU would be forced to lodge indefinite protest on roads besides giving a call for boycotting the university till their demands are conceded.
Mohinder Pal Singh Pandu lamented that these incidents in the University dampen the morale of meritorious aspirants and deteriorate the reputation of the University. He warned the University authorities to refrain from such malpractices.
