JAMMU: National Panthers Students Union alleged encroachment taking place at Beli-Charana under the shelter of JDA officials.
Talking to reporters here on Saturday, Thakur Virender Singh, State President NPSU and State Secretary of State Legal Aid Committee said that Committee moved an application to JDA Vice-Chairman regarding the illegal encroachment that took place at Beli-Charana.
“It was obnoxious to see that the applications given to JDA was all in vain and almost full fledge structure was constructed on the said land,” he said.
Singh asked JDA Vice-Chairman if the land grabbers are allowed to encroach the JDA land openly then why not JDA allow the poor landless Dogras to utilise the JDA land.
He called for immediate action in the matter failing which NPSU would Gherao the office of the JDA Jammu. He also urged the legislature of Jammu region to raise this issue in the Assembly.
