NOWSHERA : The residents of Nowshera on Monday returned the team of Khadi and Village Industry Board (KVIB) Rajouri which had been detailed by the board to close its office at Nowshera.
The board unilaterally took a decision to close its office in Sub District Nowshera and accordingly deputed a team from Rajouri to close its office and shift all documents to Rajouri. No sooner the team reached Nowshera and started winding up its documents and infrastructure, the residents of Nowshera strongly opposed the move and brought this issue to the notice of newly elected MLA Ravinder Raina. Former President Municipal Committee Subhash Kapoor, President Beopar Mandal Dharamvir Gupta, BJP leader Surinder Anand, Vijay Bakshi and others said that the office which was functioning for the last ten years will not be allowed to be shifted to Rajouri ignoring the inconvenience and loss to the beneficiaries in Nowshera Sub-District.
The MLA Nowshera immediately took up the case with KVIB Rajouri and asked them that the office which is functioning for the last ten years not be closed. The team then returned back.
