Non-Kashmiri speaking migrants neglected: KHMF

JAMMU: More than 50,000 non-Kashmiri speaking migrants, who were living in the Valley for the last 100 years and migrated in 1990 turmoil, have lost their voice. This was stated by S.L Sehgal, President Kashmir Hindu Migrant Front.
Talking to media persons here on Friday, Sehgal said that today they feel neglected and face many hardships in getting state subjects, migration certificate, ration cards, relief and allotment of flats at Jagti Township.
The front has mainly been raised to facilitate the suffering of community who are state subjects and unfortunately treated as second class citizens, he said adding that this community has about 20,000 votes in Srinagar District only.
All Kashmiri Migrant Traders Welfare Association also decided to merge with front, he informed.
General Secretary, O.P Sahni, Vice President, Prof S.S. Bali Treasurer, C.M Kohli, Secretary and Rajesh Sehgal were also present.
