Dear Editor,
In India, teaching in government schools is deteriorating day by day. Teachers are involved by the government in a lot of official work like election duties. Teachers have become so busy that they hardly have any time to teach students. And then the government has started many visits to government schools to ensure the quality of education. But with such duties, what result can be expected? The gap between private and government school teaching will only widen. Necessary steps should be taken to reduce non-academic burden on teachers to improve teaching in government schools.
