No substitute for classroom education

Dear Editor,
The online education sector is emerging as a huge industry; online education is being established as the dominant educational model. Important information has come out about the company named that this company has suffered a loss of more than 4500 crore rupees during the academic year of 2021 compared to 2020. The loss is being presented by the company’s executives as a change in the rules on how revenue is generated. In 2020, the education system during the covid-19 epidemic has grown Crises were faced and the online education system got a big boost. The main question is that online education can replace the studies conducted in schools, colleges and universities? The issue is not for a company to make a loss or profit but to become the leading educational model of online learning. In a country like India, this matter has been in discussion because for many reasons, a large majority of students do not succeed in adopting this system. They buy smart mobile phones and data online It does not have the capacity to pay the fees of such institutions. These studies have also come out that online educational system cannot be a substitute for classroom education. Such a huge loss shows how commercialized education has become. It is natural to ask the question that if there is a loss of thousands of crores of rupees, how big will be the earnings from this sector. Education and health have been perceived as social responsibility apart from commercial lines. It is the responsibility of governments to invest in these areas to strengthen and To create an educated society. Governments are shying away from investing in education and health sectors while the private sector is poised to profit from them. These fields are considered to be more profitable than other trades. The paradox is that the private sector is dominating the education sector while the government institutions are running out of money to pay teachers’ salaries and provide basic facilities to students. Governments need to think about their policies for the future of society.
Vijay.
