It is really disheartening to see people adding to the high levels of noise pollution by unnecessarily honking horns with total disregard to schools or hospitals from where they pass not bothering about the students and sick.
The cause is impatience and total lack of road etiquette. People are not willing to wait even a few seconds in case the vehicles in front have stopped and start honking knowing fully well that the vehicle in front has also stopped due to either the red light or some other obstruction beyond his control.
This honking horn unnecessarily has not only led to increased level of noise but on a number of occasions have led to road rage and accidents.
I would request the residents of Jammu to show patience and concern before honking horns.
