JAMMU: As anticipated in this column of the
previous edition, enthusiastic Indian parliamentarians met the fate at the hands of hardcore separatists this writer had predicted.
Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad deliberately stayed away from the group-Sharad Yadav, Sitaram Yachury, D. Raja and little known Jay Prakash Narayan of RJD–who went to Pakistan agent and hawk Syed Ali Shah Geelani’s posh Hyderpora residence only to find doors locked for them, unlike Kashmir hospitality and in tune with the traditions of radicalised sect of Kashmiris. Azad knew what was going to happen notwithstanding his high pitch support in New Delhi for reaching out to all stake-holders, Hurriyat especially.
The trio politicians presented a horrible scene on television screens while making a retreat from the ‘royal residence of pampered’ Geelani. Perhaps Mirza Ghalib had penned his immortal lines for these occasions only, ‘Bahout be-aabru hokar tere kooche se hum nikle’. Same was true about Asaduddin Owaisi, who was packed back by Mirwaiz Umar from his Cheshma Shahi make shift jail. Interacting with media, he appeared to be embarassed by the Mirwaiz’s insulting attitude. Not surprisingly, he described Tuffail Matto as ‘Shaheed’ while making a mention of 2010 incidents, in a clever bid to conceal his humiliation hurled by Mirwaiz.

Where are J&K BJP leaders?

Having remained in the forefront, seeking hike to their salaries and keep cutting ribbons to inaugurate petty streets works, despite Indian nation getting trampled in the Valley of Kashmir, the BJP leaders seem to be dumb stricken over what happened and what is happening in Srinagar.

While All Party Delegation is currently on a Valley visit in a bid to normalise the turbulent situation, the BJP ministers are holidaying in Jammu in cozy confines of official residences in company with their families.

If not for the pride of Indian nation, the four pseudo secularists ought to have distanced themselves from a man, who despite having seen over 86 sweet luxurious and adventurous summers of his life, is responsible for pushing young boys of eight and nine years of age to get killed or maimed by becoming shield to paid stone-pelters. He has unique distinction of living a king-size life without known source of income, which inter allia includes, heavy security cover with fleet of escort vehicles, concessions in terms of air fares, five star hotels, variety of cuisines and free medical attention at the cost of Indian tax payer. By releasing shut down and ‘chalo, chalo’ calendars, the elderly hawk is in fact instigating young students to facilitate Intifada, aided and abetted from across the border, as per well thought over strategy. Such strategies, no doubt, are being devised in ISI headquarters in Islamabad, fine tuned in Pak High Commission in Indian national capital of Delhi with Hurriyat separatists and implemented in Kashmir. The hawkish separatist should have since been put behind the bars, not only for indulging in Hawala money laundering, but also for the crimes committed against poor Kashmiris, who have rehabilitated several ‘martyrs’ grave yards across the Valley during the past twenty seven years.
How come the Indian leaders, constituting part of All Party Delegation, even conceived the idea of getting help from a man to restore peace (if at all this alone was their agenda to reach out Hurriyat hawks), as they are remote controlled from Pakistan. This fact was ironically exposed hours before their unsuccessful visit to separatists’ door-steps by none other than Geelani’s die-hard disciple and self-styled chief of United Jehad Council Syed Sallahu-ud-Din while talking to an Indian television channel on phone from Pak occupied Kashmir. He said Pakistan was vociferously providing moral, political and diplomatic support to Kashmiri Jehadis. Pakistan has been pumping huge funds from its soil and through various channels from various parts of the world to carry on proxy war against India. It is different that unfortunate Kashmiris are becoming fodder of their cannons. In the current spell of Intifaada terror violence 73 paid stone pelters and their innocent shields have lost lives. Thousands are braving with injuries with many having lost their lives. Surprisingly, none of them belongs to the families of Geelani, Yasin Malik, Mirwaiz Umar, Shabir Shah and others, who themselves enjoy security of Indian security personnel and police as they are not sure about their safety. So far they, or the government which provides them the security, have failed in spelling out the compelling circumstances leading to security cover to them.
The most undignified and humiliating development of today’s reach out by Indian parliamentarians was visit to Yasin Malik in Humhama police camp where they were brazenly told to go to Delhi and he (Yasin) will find time to meet them in their offices. Malik is the same terrorist turned activist, who is alleged to have killed three unarmed IAF personnel in the outskirts of Srinagar at the peak and onset of militancy in 1990. The great Indian state and the state of Jammu and Kashmir is yet to seek justice for those unfortunate IAF personnel who were in the Kashmir capital on the call of national duty. And, what an irony, the same person is most sought after man for Indian politicians and activists.
The confusion about Kashmir terrorism is not prevailing in ignorant Indian political class only but the so-called Valley mainstream is also playing a dubious game. Ahead of the arrival of All Party Delegation, shocking news came from Mehbooba Mufti, in her capacity as President of Peoples Democratic Party about invite to separatists, some of them in cozy jails. Doesn’t she have intelligence inputs as Chief Minister that they are the actors deployed by Pakistan to create current spell of unrest? The happenings in Kashmir are intriguing. While the government should have been seen acting tough against Intifaada perpetrators, the pressure groups in the form of national opposition are playing a dirty role. No words are enough to shame those who try to hobnob with perpetrators of disturbances, anti-national elements and killers of Kashmiri children. Their misadventure in the city, the walls of which are full of gratifies calling, “Indian dogs go back”. This slogan is not just for army or particular person; it is for all the Indians, whom these parliamentarians represent.
