MENDHAR : No drinking water has been supplied by the PHE Department in Ward No 6, Mohalla Manjeri and Dhargloon for the last one week and people are left to fend for themselves.
Mohd Yonus a resident of Manjeri said that there is no natural source in the area and people have to run go to far-off places and fetch drinking water on vehicles and bikes. They approached the JE of the area but he also ignored their request.
The residents said that it was totally due to the carelessness of the departmental officials that the supply of water depleted. The residents appealed to the SDM Mendhar to issue suitable instructions to the Assistant Executive Officer PHE to take personal interest in providing the essential services to the people.
