NITS Polytechnic bags inter polytechnic quiz

JAMMU: Government Polytechnic Jammu organised an Inter- Polytechnic Symposium and Quiz competition in which students from Government Polytechnic Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, NITS Polytechnic and IECS Polytechnic participated.
The Chief Guest of the function was Arun Bangotra, Principal of the Institution, who in his welcome speech, motivated the students to participate in various co-curricular activities for their overall personality development and also aware the students about the importance of conservation of environment.
In the quiz competition, six teams from various Polytechnics took part.
The first prize was bagged by the team from NITS Polytechnic, Jammu comprising Nitish Jasrotia, Vipan Mattoo and Saurabh Bavoria.
The second prize was won by the team from Govt. Polytechnic, Jammu comprising Manik Bhatia, Shubham Khajuria and Souhard Narang and third prize goes to the team from Govt. Polytechnic Kathua comprising Subash Chander, Ajay Jasrotia and Ravinder Singh Katoch.
The Quiz masters for the Quiz were Sakshi Kapahi, Khalid Sheikh, Rishabh Gupta, Lecturers of the Institute.
In the symposium, fourteen students from various Polytechnics participated. The theme of the Symposium was “Use of Technology for Conservation of Environment”. The first prize was won by Nahida Malik from Govt. Polytechnic Jammu, while second prize was won by Munish Kumar from Govt. Polytechnic Kathua and third prize was shared by Arjun Singh from Govt. Polytechnic Jammu and Diksha Koul from IECS Polytechnic Jammu. The judges for the symposium Competition were Vandana Chib, Deepika Sharma and Sandeep Kour.
Others who were present include Inderjeet Singh Workshop Superintendent, Harinder Arora, HoD Architecture, Zia-Ul- Haq, HoD Computer Science and other staff and students of the institute.
