Two guns, 13 fake gun licenses, ammunition recovered

JAMMU: Sunderbani Police on Wednesday arrested nine persons who were roaming suspiciously around Army area carrying illegal weapons, cartridges and fake gun licenses. Acting on specific information on the intervening night of February 7 and 8, some suspicious persons were found roaming under mysterious circumstances near Army Ground in Sunderbani area of Rajouri, police said.
They said that all the nine persons were immediately taken into custody, adding, “two illegal 12 Bore guns without license, 13 fake gun license and five cartridges were recovered from their possession and they were arrested on the spot”. Police has identified the accused as Shakoor, son of Alan Din, Mohd Hussain, son of Gh Hassan, Mohd Kameez ,son of Gh Hassan, Vijay Kumar, son of Kaku Ram, Subash Kumar, son of Sham Lal, all residents of Hari Chumma, Bhushan Singh, son of Bharat Singh of BC Kalakote, Subash Kumar, son of Amer Nath of Kalka Mathyani, Billu Ram, son of Des Raj of Kalka Mathyani and Romesh Singh, son of Kernel Singh of Khawas. Meanwhile a case under FIR No 12/2017 under sections 420, 465, 468, 471, 120-B and 3/25 Arms Act has been registered.
