JAMMU: 68th Republic Day was celebrated by NHPC Regional Office, Jammu at Narwal.
Yoginder Kotha, Chief Engineer (Civil) hoisted the Tricolor. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Engineer said that NHPC has generated 20,450 MU against the target of 23,000 MU till date. In J and K State NHPC has generated 9,125 MU of power against the target 9,263 MU till now. He further said that work on Kishanganga HE Project is going on fast pace and completion of the project is expected in the near future.
With the completion of the project we shall be able to add 330 MW of power thereby increasing the total capacity of NHPC hydro projects in J&K State to 2339 MW. He praised engineers and workers for their dedication and hard work for achieving generation targets.
