JAMMU: Inter-regional selection trials for formation of NHPC cricket team which commenced from 1st September concluded on Sunday.
In an impressive function, S. Kalgoankar, Executive Director, Region Jammu and Anjali Kalgoankar concluded the function by cutting of cake and distribution of trophies to the joining team of NHPC Corporate Office, Faridabad and runners-up of Parbati Region, Himachal Pradesh. The concluding match was won by Corporate Office in super over after the match was tied defeating cricket team of Parbati Region. Speaking on the ocassion, S. Kalgoanker appreciated the sportsman spirit shown by the players of all teams during the course of selection trials as well as matches.
He wished NHPC cricket team best of luck during Inter CPSU Cricket tournaments which shall be conducted shortly under the aegis of Power Sports Control Board. He also thanked Rajkumar Sharma and Vijay Dogra, Cricket Coaches from University of Jammu, who were associated with NHPC for selection NHPC Cricket team.
R.K Kedia, Chief (HR ) thanked and appreciated all the cricket teams which participated in the selection trials and tournaments.
