DODA: Expressing their anger against State Govt’s apathy and non seriousness about their genuine demands, the NHM employees of Doda District on Sunday observed Pulse Polio Day as Black Day as a mark of silent protest.
On this occasion, all the NHM staff who were on pulse polio duty wore black bands on their forehead observing Black Day.
District President All JK NHM Employees Association Faizan A Tramboo said that the aim of holding Pulse Polio Day as Black Day is to inform the State Govt about their grievances which they have not conceded so far.
We have left with no option than to observe this national day as Black Day because the State Govt has not yet initiated any measure to frame a draft policy for our regularisation despite so many reminders in this regard, said Faizan A Tramboo
Tramboo urged upon Chief Minister, Health Minister, Finance Minister and other concerned to listen to woes of NHM employees on priority basis and ensure immediate redressal of their genuine and long pending demands and threatned to launch state wide agitation in case demands are not met at the earliest.
Similar kind of Black Day was observed in all Districts of Jammu Division as a mark of silent protest against Govt’s non serious approach towards NHM employees.
