JAMMU: NHM employees of Health Department on Thursday observed a token strike in demand of their issues.
Rohit Seth District president, NHM Employees held the strike programme on the directives of Sushil Sudan President, Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation.
A large number of NHM employees of various health institutions of Jammu province gathered at Madam Shashi Bala Memorial Park in DHS Complex, here and raised slogans in support of their protest. The employees were demanding policy for regularization, transfer policy , benefit of maternity leave / earned leave / baby care leave etc, enhancement of wages / incentives and in time release of salaries of NHM employees.
Rohit Seth appealed to the government to consider the above mentioned demands at the earliest.
Others who addressed the gathering were Rashmi, Taran Singh, Bharat Bhusahn, Mohd. Saleem, Sandeep and Rajinder.
