NHA appreciates work of Jammu based Joint Replacement Surgeon Dr Vikas Padha

JAMMU: National Health Authority (NHA) appreciated the work done by Jammu based Senior Joint Replacement Surgeon Dr Vikas Padha under Ayushman Bharat Scheme.
In a social media post shared by NHA on social media platforms of X , Facebook and Instagram, official handles of NHA wrote “A successful Total Hip Replacement surgery done free of cost under #AyushmanCard on a patient in #JammuAndKashmir. The surgery otherwise would have cost between Rs 1.5 – 2 Lakh. The happy patient got relief from years of hip pain and walked effortlessly to his home. #PMJAY #AyushmanBharat” This surgery was done by Jammu based Joint Replacement Surgeon Dr Vikas Padha who is working as Senior Consultant Orthopaedics and Joint Replacement at Narayana Hospital Katra , Jammu.” “I have been doing Joint Replacement Surgeries like Total Knee Replacement and Total Hip Replacement at Narayana Hospital Katra since 2017 when I had joined this institute. In 2021 , our hospital got empanelled under Ayushman Bharat Scheme and I started doing Joint Replacement Surgeries free of cost to patient under this scheme .In last 1.5 Years only , I have done around 200 Joint Replacement Surgeries at Narayana Hospital Katra” stated Dr Vikas Padha . Joint Replacement Surgeries are costly Surgeries that cost around Rs 1.5 to 2 lakh and under this scheme , poor patients have been treated that otherwise would have been impossible . The appreciation of work done under Ayushman Bharat Scheme in Jammu on national platform is a matter of pride for the healthcare sector of Jammu.
