UDHAMPUR: NGO Jiyo Aur Jeene Do has expressed deep concern upon rising transport fares in Udhampur.
While addressing the press conference here on Saturday, the chairman of NGO Tariq Shah said , we express our deep concern over rise in passenger fare despite the reduction in fuel price at international level.
“More worrying is the issue that at many places, fare is charged more than it is supposed to be. It is a worrying issue that in the name of facility, people are not even getting seats” Tariq said.
NGO chairman appealed to Prime Minister to have a check on rise in fare of public transport despite decrease in oil price.
At the same time , they also appealed to RTO Udhampur to stop the practice of overcharging fare from the public and keep a regular check on the public transport so that the students, women, elders and even handicapped people can travel comfortably.
Vijay, Sanjay, Aftab, Joginder and other members of the NGO were present in the press conference.
