JAMMU: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarathi Parishad (ABVP) condemned the decision of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti for providing compensation to the stone pelters of Kashmir Valley.
In a press conference State Secretary and Central Working Committee member of ABVP, Varsha Jandial alleged that the youths, who are directly supporting the terrorism movement and disturbing the healthy environment of the State, should not be treated with any courtesy.
She said that by doing so the government can’t stop the separatist movement which is harming the nation and particularly the State at large.
In fact they are encouraging the students to pelt stones and get compensation she said, this is nothing less than providing a new employment to the supporters of the terrorist.
“It seems that the government is launching a new recruitment policy which follows the steps as: Come, pelt the stones, destroy the nation’s property and finally get compensation and a job.” She asserted.
She further said that compensation should be provided to the innocents not the destroyers.
It should be for those who are on roads for the nation not against the nation.
Government should not take any step that hurts the nationalism of the youth and in all they should not show any courtesy to those who dare to disturb the State with their anti nationalistic approach.
Infact the State Government should justify their thinking on this new recruitment policy exclusively for stone pelters which is directly offering a path of anti nationalistic approach by providing job to destructive elements.
She declared that ABVP will not accept such decisions of the government and if it tries to do so, ABVP Karyakartas would be on roads against this injustice.
State Joint Secretary Mustafa Ali and Jammu Mahangar Secretary Deepak Gupta were also present in the press conference.
