New Age College launches plantation drive

BILLAWAR : New Age Degree College, Phinter (Billawar) organised a plantation drive to aware the society the role and importance of plants in maintaining and saving environment.
Inauguration of drive was done by the Principal of the College, Neeru Rajput by planting eucalyptus sapling in the college premises at Botanical Garden.
That was followed by staff of the college namely Sushil Raina, Santosh Pathania, Prakriti Sharma, LekhRaj, Vikas Sudan, Amit Gupta, Davinder Singh, Iltaf Ahmed, Amin Butt, V.P Sharma, Bua Dutta, Gudu Ram and Toshi Rani who planted sapling of Mango, Neem, Jamun, Guava, Citrus and other type of tree plants.
After plantation, Neeru Rajput laid emphasis on plantation of trees and said that plants not only save our soil and environment but may be a good sources of income because timber, fodder, fruit, medicine, fire wood etc are provided by the trees.
At last Coordinator of NSS Unit Sushil Raina laid emphasis on plantation drive by saying plants play not only a major role in creating healthy environment but also play a role of responsibility in healthcare because only in healthy environment, healthy work can be done.
