Necessary arrangements put in place for smooth Amarnath Yatra: Dy CM

SRINAGAR: Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh in Sunday visited Baltal.
During his visit, the Dy. CM took stock of the arrangements put in place by the administration for the smooth conduct of the Shri Amarnath Yatra. He stressed on the need for effective supervision and round the clock monitoring by all the concerned agencies for better management of the Yatra. Enroute he met various groups of the pilgrims and interacted with them to receive feedback about the arrangements. He said that the Government has put in place the requisite mechanism to ensure that the pilgrims coming to perform their religious duties do not face any inconvenience and maintained that the officers have been told to maintain a close synergy to ensure the timely and adequate deliverance of the services to be provided to the pilgrims. The Deputy Chief Minister said that the arrangements which are being provided are being regularly monitored so that the necessary feedback about the deliverance of the essentials like health care, transportation and other related facilities are provided without any hitch. He said that the government has been conducting successful Yatras since long and this year also all the fool proof arrangements have been put in place.
