KATHUA: District Congress Committee Kathua President Former MLC Subash Gupta alleging NDA government of harvesting the fruits of the trees planted by UPA Government, said that the schemes like, MGNREGA, NRHM and many others etc launched by UPA have drastically up-lift the standard of the common masses throughout the country.
“UPA Government enacted various important development projects over the past ten years, and some of them were also implemented in Jammu-Kashmir and the medical college, the foundation stone which was laid by Union Health Minister J.P Nadda, was sanctioned by Former Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad three years back” they said.
Through a press handout, Subash Gupta described the BJP and PDP as power hungry parties since there is nothing common between the two, while questioning the basis of their ‘unholy’ and ‘opportunist’ alliance for the sake of power. He added that government delayed this medical college for three years and it is the public of Kathua which had suffered loss.
Subash Gupta also castigated Police Department for using force against the protesting Multi Purpose Female Health Workers. He said that to raise voice in support of demands is democratic right of every citizen. It is shameful for State as well Union Government for using power against the females to suppress their voice. Multi Purpose Female Health Workers are struggling for their rights for the last 25- days and how an employee could survive during this period of price hike when he/she is not getting pay for months.
“BJP exploited the people of Jammu on various slogans and now the people are questioning the basis of their present alliance in the back drop of their (BJP and PDP) slogans during election campaign, as both the parties have betrayed their respective electorate”, he added.
