JAMMU: Additional General Secretary National Conference Dr Sheikh Mustafa Kamaal on Saturday exhorted youth to play their useful role in strengthening bonds of amity and unity by isolating the forces bent upon dividing society for furthering their political agenda.
Addressing prominent office bearers and workers of National Conference Students Union (NCSU) at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan here this morning, Dr Kamaal lauded youth for their resilience and sagacity, hoping they will engage themselves in shaping the destiny of Jammu and Kashmir as a peaceful and vibrant State.
He said National Conference has all along provided opportunities and platform to youth to play their part in transforming the State and steering it to peace, progress and development. However, he cautioned them to guard against elements inimical to peace and unity.
The Additional General Secretary also dwelt upon initiatives taken by National Conference Governments from time to time for progress and development of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, saying that this process received serious setback during ten-month rule of PDP and BJP as the developmental tempo came to grinding halt.
