REASI: NCC Reasi and SRCC Jyotipuram won their league matches in the ongoing Police T20 Cricket Tournament being organised by District Police Reasi under Civic Action Programme at Sports Stadium, here on Tuesday.
In first match of the day, NCC Reasi defeated ITDC Khouri by 13 runs.
Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, NCC Reasi scored 121 runs for the loss of six wickets in 15 overs. Aman was the top scorer with 33 runs off 23 balls while Dev Karan Singh and Anku added 26 and 17 runs respectively to the total. For ITDC Khouri, Jagmohan captured three wickets, while Ganesh and Jitender claimed one wicket each. Extras contributed 13 runs to the total.
In reply, ACC managed to score 108 runs for the loss of six wickets in 15 overs, thus lost the match by 13 runs. Anil was highest scorer with 64 runs, while Jasvir made unbeaten 18 runs and jitender Singh contributed seven. Aman and Pankaj scalped two wickets each for NCC Reasi, while Dev claimed one. For his all-round performance Aman was declared Man of the Match.
In another match, SRCC Jyotipuram defeated MCC Reasi by 11 runs.
SRCC Jyotipuram, batting first, made 106 runs including 22 extras in the stipulated 15 overs, losing nine wickets in the process. Ajit was the top scorer with 43 runs off 26 balls, while Pintu scored valuable 18 runs and Micky chipped in with four runs.
For MCC Reasi, Sajad picked three wickets while Naresh took two and Happy claimed one wicket.
In reply, MCC Reasi was bundled out for a paltry total of 95 runs (21 extras) in 14.5 overs, thus lost the match by 11 runs. Sajad was highest scorer with 32 runs, while Naresh and Happy made 10 and nine runs respectively. Kavitar scalped three wickets for SRCC while Pintu grabbed two and Ajit claimed one. Ajit of SRCC was adjudged Man of the Match for his all-round display.
The match was officiated by Surinder and Vikas Anand as umpires, while Vijay Pal Singh maintained the scoreboard.
