JAMMU: “Having wasted complete six years and retarded the development of Nagrota assembly constituency, National Conference (NC) is now promising ‘Moon’ to the people. While heading Coalition Government in J and K NC could not develop Nagrota on the desired lines and as per wishes of people but now when situation is slipping out of hands the outfit is luring people by making false promises with them”.
This was stated by People’s Democratic Party leader and Chief Election Coordinator for Jammu Province, Abdul Hamid Choudhary while canvassing for contesting party candidate from Nagrota Assembly Constituency, Choudhary Hussain Ali Waffa at series of meetings held at Bamyal, Chibba, Ranjan and Padmi. Seeking votes for Choudhary Waffa, the PDP leader said that none other than PDP can institutionalise transparency and accountability in the governance after which Nagrota Constituency can become a model one.
The meetings which were attended by Shaukat Choudhary, Panch Mukhtiar, Hussain Mohammad, Haji Kaka, Haji Fazal, Naib Sarpanchs Rehmat Ali, Iqbal, Munnu, Wali Mohammad, Choudhary Ghulam and Qari Ali Akhtar resolved to send Choudhary Waffa to the State Legislative Assembly to strengthen hands of Party Patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
Addressing well attended meetings, Choudhary Hamid said it was because of wrong policies of NC that led to complete chaos in the State and future prospectus of Gujjar community were also jeopardised.
He urged people not to fall a prey to false and fabricated promise of NC and support PDP for having a stable government in the State. Choudhary Hamid reiterated that it was because of good governance of PDP that peoples’ faith in democratic institutions was also restored and there was political stability in the State during the tenure of PDP led regime way back in 2002.
Seeking votes for Ch Waffa, Choudhary Hamid urged people to read the writing on wall and throw corrupt rulers out of power to pave way for credible and transparent government. Ch, Waffa he said is a committed leader and is going to stay put in the constituency to serve people. He understands people’s issues in much better manner and can represent them in Assembly ably, Ch Hamid added.
