NC pays tributes to Ambedkar

JAMMU: Glowing tributes were paid to the architect of the Constitution of India, Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar with senior National Conference functionaries saying that the towering of the tallest will continue to be an inspiration for generations because of his insight into social justice and equality.
Besides, Provincial President, Devender Singh Rana, Additional General Secretary, Dr Sheikh Mustaffa Kamal, while paying homage to the Messiah of millions, at a function held at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan here on Saturday in commemoration of the death anniversary of the Baba Sahib, said that Dr Ambedkar dedicated his entire life for the welfare of weaker sections and his contribution in that regard was exceptional. They said that the best tribute to Dr Ambedkar was to work for welfare of weaker sections of the society so that social inequality could be minimised. Several functions were held by OBC Wing to pay tributes to Baba Saheb on his death anniversary which falls on 6th December.
Co-Chairperson, NC OBC Cell, Vijay Lochan threw light on the life of Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar. On the occasion, floral tributes were paid to the Baba Sahib by senior functionaries including, State Vice Presidents Rattan Lal Gupta and Th. Kashmir Singh besides Provincial Secretary Sheikh Bashir, Provincial Vice President Gurdeep Singh Sasan and Choudhry Haroon, Provincial President Women Wing Satwant Kour Dogra, former Legislators Satpal Lakhotra, Dr. Chaman Lal Bhagat and Bimla Luthra, K.D Singh, Dilshad Begum, Reeta Gupta, Rakesh Singh Raka, Rohit Bali, Rohit Kerani, Madan Lal and Komal Manhas.
