JAMMU: National Confe-rence legislator Abdul Majid Larmi was on Monday marshalled out of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly for disrupting House proceedings.
Larmi attempted to snatch the mike of BJP MLA from Khour Dr Krishan Chander Bhagat, who was making a statement on terrorist attack on GREF Camp in his constituency. PDP MLA Abdul Majid Paddar raised objections to Larmi’s behaviour of not allowing the member to speak and snatching the mike which led into verbal dual and mild clash. Speaker Assembly Kavinder Gupta gave directions to marshall Larmi out of the House. Meanwhile, NC and Congress MLAs termed it unfortunate and demanded that Paddar should also be marshalled out.
Gupta said that action was taken for his behaviour in the House. The NC and Congress members also blamed Speaker for being biased and soft towards BJP. “The House will not run on BJP directions,” they said.
