Udhampur: A delegation of National Conference (NC) leaders led by Vijay Khajuria on Saturday met DIG Police, Udhampur and apprised him about the issues related to traffic regulation, law and order situation, prevailing drug menace, bovine smuggling and security measures pertaining to sensitive places in the city and on the National Highway in view of Amarnath Yatra.
Former District President NC, Advocate Rajesh Gupta requested the DIG Udhampur to install security gadgets in the Court complex and provide parking slot for advocates on the Dhar Road as there is no parking facility in the court complex. They also demanded regular bus service from Udhampur to Battal Ballian.
The DIG Udhampur gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured early redressal.
The deputation comprised of Ch Mohd Shafi President Jammu Province, Prem Nath Sharma, Naresh Anthal, John Wilson, Shaju Ram, Rattan Lal Ex-Panch, Saraj Din, Gita Handoo, Pyari Devi, Surista Devi and Panch Garhi.
