SRINAGAR: Stating that National Conference (NC) is the only party that has its presence in all the districts of Valley, NC General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar on Saturday said history is witness to the fact that the party has always stood by its people.
While addressing lawyers from different districts of the Valley including former Advocate General Mohammad Isaq Qadri at party headquarters, Sagar emphasised upon all to constitute party’s legal cell in every district of the Valley.
“Parties inimical to the interest of J and K and its people are working overtime in finding new ways of putting State on a regressive path while the state government is tacitly helping them by doing nothing,” Sagar said while addressing the meeting.
“National Conference is the only party that guarantees to protect the interests of its people. It is therefore imperative upon all the legal luminaries of the party to help establish a legal cell in every district of the Valley,” he said adding that parties who claim to protect the special status of Jammu and Kashmir State, helped different Governments at Centre to erode the Article 370 gradually.
“PDP who claimed to be the custodian of the state’s rights is in reality working tirelessly to erode the special status of Jammu and Kashmir over the years,” he said added, “National Conference stands by its commitment of prosperous, self-reliable and democratic Kashmir. People associated with the NC will never allow forces who are hell bent in eroding the special status of the state to succeed.”
