‘NC-Cong alliance denies final settlement package’
STAFF REPORTER
JAMMU: Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) refugees on Wednesday held a protest against National Conference (NC)-Congress alliance Government for denying their genuine right of final settlement package.
A large number of refugees led by J and K POJK Refugee Front president Rachhpal Singh Chib assembled in front of Press Club Jammu and raised anti-government slogans for putting obstacles in one time comprehensive settlement package.
Addressing the refugees in a rally held here today, President of the Front, Rachhpal Singh Chib said that National Conference and Congress have ruled the State of Jammu and Kashmir for six decades. Instead of providing relief to refugees the NC and Congress put all possible obstacles in the financial assistance granted by the Government of India after recommendation of the National Human Rights Commission, he added.
As the package recommended by the State Cabinet was discriminatory the Government of India with the BJP at the helm of Affairs sought clarification and also asked the State Government to recommend and forward the West Pakistani Refugees too, he said.
But, Congress and NC found a chance to spread false propaganda stating that BJP Government at the Centre has rejected the package recommended by the State Cabinet, he added.
He appealed to the PoJK refugees not to fall prey to the false propaganda unleashed by the Congress and NC.
The POJK Refugee Front appeals the POJK Refugees and People of Jammu to cast their vote in favour of BJP and Narendra Modi who have assured publically to provide respectable settlement package to them
