STATE TIMES NEWS
HIRANAGAR : Launching scathing attack on the local Congress MLA, National Conference State Vice President Th Kashmira Singh on Sunday referred to his betrayal of public trust by getting involved in various acts of omissions and commissions.
Addressing an election meeting at Panchayat Manglook Kandi, Th Kashmira Singh said the constituency has got mis-represented as the person elected remained engaged in pursuing personal agenda.
The Senior Vice President said Hiranagar had a multitude of problems that required special dispensation. He said the service sectors besides infrastructural development needed focussed attention but due to mis-represetnation these were relegated to back burner.
Th Kashmira Singh took on BJP and PDP for their reactionary politics, saying the era of hate and anger was over. “The people want development, which National Conference alone can give, as has been proved by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah during the past six years”, he added.
He took dig at the BJP candidate, saying he was a non-local and therefore having little concern for the development and progress of Hiranagar. “Belonging to Basholi and working in Jammu, how can the BJP representative assuage the aspirations of the people”, he said adding that the development of Hiranagar required focussed approach.
Sr Vice President exhorted the people to vote and support Roamy Khajuria, saying his integrity was unblimshed. “Given his dedication and devotion to the people, the day is not far when Hiranagar will prosper and progress”, he added.
Speaking on the occasion, Khajuria made a fervent appeal to voters for coming forward in a big way on the day of election and support the progressive initiatives of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in a big way.
He spelled out the initiatives taken during the past six years for the development of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, saying the National Conference Government will devote itself to the faster development of all the three regions and their sub-regions.
