JAMMU: Senior National Conference (NC) leader and CAPD and Transport Minister, Ch. Mohammad Ramzan said that NC has always projected the cause of Kashmiri Migrants and initiated several steps for their welfare and they should come forward and strengthen the party by voting for the party which has always upheld the secular principles and pluralistic ethos of the State.
The minister was addressing a series of public gatherings at different places like Jagti, Purkhoo, Nagrota, Bantalab, Dugra Nagar and Muthi here on Monday.
Assailing various political actors for trying to woo the migrants, Ramzan said that their vote-bank politics is getting exposed with each passing day and now the onus lies on the migrants to give them a befitting reply by casting their vote in favour of NC, which has been the only party to raise their issues at various platforms and also take remedial measures for redressal of their grievances. He said NC has always stood for the unity and integrity of the State and also for sustaining the concept of mutual co-existence.
“Thousands of NC workers have laid their lives for the same”, he added.
Appealing to migrants for rejecting the forces of deceit and division, the Minister said that they are trying to mislead the people for their ulterior political motives and are trying to create division between different sections of the society in order to fulfill their lust for power. He said that these parties are responsible for pushing the State into the decades of chaos and destruction and the masses should teach them a lesson by voting for National Conference, which is the only secular party having the agenda of developing the State on modern lines and also ensuring sustained peace.
