National Rural Health Mission employees demand regularisation
STATE TIMES NEWS
DODA: The employees of (NRHM) viz Paramedics and Management Staff of Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban Districts under the banner of District NRHM Paramedical and Management Association on Tuesday highlighted various long pending demands of the employees.
In a press statement, Spokesperson of the Association, Faizan Tramboo demanded immediate regularisation of all NRHM employees viz paramedics and management staff on the pattern of Rehbar-e Taleem scheme, immediate release of rural incentives for paramedics, job security, health insurance and general insurance to all NRHM staff, maternity leave benefits and release of arrears, extension of time for casual leave from 15 to 30 days in a year and rent charges for paramedics who are residing on private accommodation in far flung areas in the State.
Tramboo further said that government is ignoring the NRHM employees working in the State as no one of their demands have been considered so far by the government.
Moreover, he added that NRHM Scheme was launched in 2005 and since then employees working under it are still non permanents. Tramboo revealed that Govt has recently enhanced the salaries of all NRHM employees of the State wherein salary of all paramedics except JSN have been enhanced from Rs 10,800 to 12,000 whereas salary of JSN has been upgraded upto Rs 14,600 which clearly shows discrimination with other paramedics. The Association demanded either the Govt should revoke this enhancement or enhance the honorarium of other paramedics as Rs 14,600 as that of JSN.
The association further urged the Union Health Minister, Commissioner Secretary Health and Medical Education and Mission Director NRHM Dr Yash Pal Sharma to look into this genuine matter and redress the same at the earliest so that the staff working under NRHM may not suffer any more.
