DODA: National Environment Awareness Campaign (NEAC) Programme 2014 was organised under the theme Biodiversity Conservation at Govt.UPS Masri Zone Gundna on Monday. Dr.Ab Hamid Parray MO PHC Gundna was the Chief Guest while Chander Parkash Dist. Coordinator Paryavaran Mitra Programme/NEACProgramme Doda, Tasleema Firdous, Neeraj Rana and Satish Kumar Rukwal Zonal Co-ordinator were the Guests of Honour. Teaching staff of Govt.UPS Masri was present on the occasion. C.P Thakur District Co-ordinater NEAC also delivered lecture on NEAC/Paryavaran Mitra programme.
In his speech detailed deliberation was made on the conservation of plants, green plants and endangered species like conservation of Nag Chhatri (Local herb) and animal as well as other natural resources related to sustainable life.
Dr. Ab.Hamid Parray deliberated the need and protection of forests, green plants and endangered species so that present and future generation can sustain properly and comfortably. He also delivered lecture on Biodiversity Conservation and asked the people to conserve the rich flora and fauna of the area and plant more and more trees.
C.P Thakur appreciated the efforts of working teaching staff viz Shabeer Ahmed Bhat Headmaster, Koshalya Dev, Tarriq Hussain Mir and Saghir Ahmed.
