Dear Editor,
The Tricolour and the National Anthem are national symbols. In our school days, the anthem was sung in the morning assembly. It was also sung in cinema halls after a film ended. We would all stand up respectfully. Some feeling of patriotism surely comes to you. In our homes, we pray to God every morning. Slowly, it becomes a habit, and later conviction. With the changing atmosphere, it was discontinued. It should come naturally, but, sadly, an order has to be passed to do so. A feeling of being forced into doing something creeps in. A reasonable thing becomes suspect and assumes political colour.
