Narendra Damodar Das Modi really created history on 9th of June by swearing as the Prime Minister third time in succession .Modi is the only prime minister after J.L.Nehru who became the prime minister for the third time .It is after 1962 that any prime minister is sworn as the head of the government .Modi has the distinction of having been the chief minister of Gujarat for three terms continuously and during his being the CM ,he scaled the state to new heights and he catapulted the state to pinnacles of investment and development .He has also the distinction of being the prime minister for the third consecutive term .Modi possesses the art and quality of accommodation and consensus and thus he carries all with him in the governance of the country .This time BJP did not get the majority numbers on its own and thus he turned his minority into majority by enlisting the support of his pre poll allies including the JD[U] ,TDP,LJSP,HAM and other small regional parties for cobbling the coalition of NDA government .June 9,2024 is a big day for the people of India ,coalition politics and the NDA. The day is very important for Indian democracy and historical as well because a new history was scripted and the swearing in ceremony of Modi 3.o and his ministers will be written in golden letters in the history of independent India .Modi deserves kudos for his historic triumph for the third term .It is no ordinary feat that Modi became the prime minister for the third consecutive term .The swearing in ceremony was historical as it was attended by the heads of governments of Seven neighboring countries including Bangladesh ,Nepal Butan ,Muratitious, Sri Lanka Maldives and Seychell .It shows that Modi is cementing mutual ties with all these countries .The swearing in ceremony of Modi has assumed international importance as he has got world popularity .Modi in fact created history because he is the only second prime minister after Nehru who became the prime minister of India for the third consecutive term and it is no ordinary matter but an extra ordinary matter having both national and international importance and implication .Modi has already planned the agenda his 100 days of governance and during his third term he will catapult the nation to new heights of development and will ensure that India becomes the third largest economy of the world and it will not be an ordinary feat by any standard .Indian leader Narendra Modi was sworn in as prime minister on Sunday-9th June for a rare third term after near two months of voting in the world’s largest democracy .But for the first time ,Modi will lead a coalition after his party was humbled in its traditional stronghold of the Hindi -speaking belt of northern India.Modi,73,made a history being elected three consecutive times. The last person to do so was Jawaharlal Nehru ,one of the founding fathers of modern India and its first prime minister .But Modi’s vow that he had win a supermajority ,which would have allowed him to reshape the Indian state that Nehru created ,was dashed. Modi won the Lok sabha election and secured for him a historic third term though this time not with the 272 seats and thus he made ties with the pre poll allies and formed the coalition government for the third time and this is not less than creating a history .Who is the leader who says he sold tea at a railway station as a child and has gone to become the face of Hindu nationalism? History was scripted in the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhawan on the evening of 9th June Sunday when Narendra Modi took oath as the prime minister of India for the third consecutive term albeit with the unconditional support of his pre poll allies of JD[U],TDP,LJSP,HUM and other small regional parties and thus he made a history by cobbling a coalition government of NDA for the third time to take country to new heights of development .In Narendra Modi ,the people of India see a dynamic ,decisive and development oriented leader who has emerged as a ray of hope for the dreams and aspirations of 140 crore people .His focus on inclusive development will continue in his third term .His focus on development ,eye for detail and efforts to bring a qualitative difference in the lives of the poorest of the poor have made him a popular and respected leader across the length and breadth of India .Modi has become the darling of the common people .Modi’s life has become a journey of courage ,compassion and constant hard work .
Narendra Modi’s evolution from quintessential organization Man of the BJP to one of best known leaders recognized for his good governance over a span of a decade tells a story of grit ,determination .and strong leadership in the face of grave adversity .The prime minister will lead a coalition government after voters defied the predictions of exit polls ,India’s mainstream media ,and the markets were optimistic that Modi’s BJP party would win a supermajority of two-thirds of all parliamentary seats .As tallying begun on June 4,it quickly became clear that BJP would not clear as simple majority mark of 272,although it won the largest number of seats .It won 240 seats ,and with its allies ,secured 293.Modi’s coalition now relies on allies ,including two kingmakers and Nitish Kumar of Janata Dal United in eastern Bihar state .President Droupadi Murmu administered the oath at India’s presidential palace ,the Rashtrapati Bhavan ,in the capital New Delhi at twilight after a sweltering summer day. The audience included some of India’s biggest movie stars and its wealthiest businessmen ,including India’s richest person ,Mukesh Ambani .The close mingling of business and power appeared to be one of the key reasons why fewer Indian’s cast their vote for Modi than in the past .There was a widespread perception among voters that prime minister had swelled the coffers of big business while ordinary Indian’s struggled with low wages ,high unemployment and rising prices .Analysts say there was also a swing against Modi’s BJP by Dalits ,who form India’s most oppressed castes, particularly in the country’s most populous state ,UP .
The results were also a cautious relief to many Muslims ,who form India’s largest minority .They were often the target of hateful comments by Hindu nationalist BJP. Some analysts say this coalition government might be the best possible outcome for India.
Modi is ,an experienced leader at the helm ,but his most authoritarian tendencies curbed by his coalition .Anyway Modi created history as he became the prime minister for a record third time in succession.
