Nagar Kirtan taken out in Poonch to celebrate Prakash Utsav of Guru Nanak Dev

Poonch: A grand procession to commemorate the Prakash Utsav of First Sikh Guru ,Guru Nanak Dev was taken out in Poonch on Saturday with great fervour and joy.
The holy Guru Granth Sahib was placed in a palanquin during the procession. People sang hymns in groups while playing traditional musical instruments and also displayed their martial art skills. The joyful procession started from historic Gurdwara Singh sabha Poonch and passed through Main Bazar, Fort bazar, Bus stand and briefly halted at ITI ground where traditional gatka was displayed by sikh swordsmen in traditional dresses. Stalls distributing Eatables (Parshad) were also deployed at various locations which served people with great dedication. Afterwards, The Procession culminated at Singh sabha , passing through Parade bazar.
Pradhan Gurudwara Prabandhak committee, S. Narinder singh addressed the sangat near Historic Poonch Fort where he shed light on the inspirational life of Guru Nanak Dev ji. While speaking on the occasion he said that Guru Nanak propagated that any person could connect with God by worshipping him with a clean conscience. Also Guru Nanak recognised the whole Human race as one and laid emphasis on Honest Earning and sharing with fellow human beings.
DC Poonch, Sh Yasin M Choudhary and Ssp Sh Vinay Sharma, while greeting the Sangat also urged People to imbibe teachings of Guru Nanak Dev in their day to day life. While the whole administration extended its full support to the religious gathering, CEO Poonch and DPO Poonch paid no heed to the Administrative orders and deployed no manpower from their end to the utmost anguish of Sikh Sangat. Also present on the occasion included DySP Ajaz Ahmed, SHO Deepak Pathania, Adv Rajinder Singh, Harcharan Singh, Surinder Singh, Anmol Singh, Balbir Singh.
