NAGROTA: ‘Dag’ a collection of Kashmiri poems written by Poshker Nath Koul (Bedil) was released by Nazir Ahmad Laway Member Parliament. The book release function was organised here at Community Hall in Jagti Township.
The author of the book is a well known writer, dramatist, poet and actor. His popular works are Laola Majloon, Kral Koor Shereen Farhad, Hemal Nagrai, etc. The release of the book ‘Dag’ was an initiative made by Pamposh theatre and organized by Dainposh Koul Publication. Dr. R.L Bhat President SAMPRATI presided over the meeting. He read the research paper on the book and discussed various technical aspects. His critical analysis about the book fetched appreciation of audience. Prof. O.N Koul academician by profession and social worker threw some light on the life of Poshker Nath Koul (Bedil).
Chief Guest Nazir Ahmed Laway also shared his experiences with Bedil as a teacher. He said Bedil was a teacher par excellence. Pardesi also spoke on the occasion. Raj Nath Raina presented a Ghazal written by Bedil. Tejkrishan Sagar presented the vote of thanks.
