MV Department organises awareness programme

POONCH: Department of Motor Vehicles Poonch on Saturday organised an awareness programme of driver’s union at bus stand Poonch under the supervision of Assistance Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Poonch Abdul Raheem.
DySP headquarters Shahid Nayeem was the Chief Guest on the occasion whereas DySP DAR Mohan Sharma was the Guest of Honour. Manager Bus Stand Jagjeet Singh, SHO Poonch Mohd Ameen and Javid Reshi Chairman Insaaf Movement were the special invitees, who speaking on the occasion advised drivers to follow traffic rules. They said there is much overloading in Poonch District which causes accidents and death of many innocents.
DySP HQ, DySP DAR and Jagjeet Singh warned drivers not to violate traffic rules otherwise they will be punished under law. They said accidents occurred only due to overloading and negligence of drivers. Javid Reshi on the occasion showed his concern over cause of overloading in accidents and said, drivers are not only responsible for overloading our public is also to be blamed. He demanded for more vehicles on Poonch to Seri Khawaja, Farehpur, Gali Pindi, Salonia, Banwat, Islamabad and many other routes on demand bases. He further said unnecessary standing of auto Magic on main road from Dak Banglow to RK hotel causes traffic jam, which need to be removed from there. ARTO thanked all the guests, invitees and drivers union and assured that he will help drivers but will not spare any law violator.
