JAMMU: Government Middle School (GMS) Railway Colony bagged the boys’ under-14 kabaddi title in the two-day inter-school competitions of Gandhi Nagar Zone held under the banner of Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at Guru Harkrishan Public School, here on Wednesday.
In the final, MS Railway trounced Doon International School by a margin of nine points. The under-17 title went to Government HSS Channi Himmat, who beat Doon International by eight points.
The under-14 title kho-kho title went to KB Public School after they beat Government Middle School Digiana by eight points. In under-17 kho-kho title clash, GHS Kaluchak beat KB Public School by six points.
Meanwhile, in under-17 volleyball final, KB Public School emerged winner outplaying Government High School Digiana in straight 2-0 sets.
The Gandhi Nagar Zone competition organised under the guidance of Zonal Officer, Anju Gupta. The technical panel comprised of Nirmal Singh (PEL), Jatinder Kour (PEM), Chamel Singh (PEM), Mousami Verma (PET) and Gurdeep (PET).
