MP Jugal Kishore visits Chamber House, listens to issues raised by members

JAMMU: Member Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma paid a visit to the Chamber House and held a discussion with CCI members on various issues. President Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Arun Gupta while welcoming the Chief Guest said that Jammu Airport which is being developed as an International Airport for which 967 Kanals land has been transferred to Airport Authority of India, out of which 150 Kanals land, belonging to Animal/ Sheep Husbandry Department need to be sorted out for further expansion of Jammu Airport.
Arun Gupta further said that Jammu City is being developed under Smart City Project which we whole-heartedly welcome the initiative but at the same time we wish to point out that funds are being used in a haphazard manner without doing proper ground work. He further said that the projects should be separated from department to department, to get proper benefit while main chowks of the city should be developed in proper manner for creating better markets.
Ravinder Sawhney said that drainage system in city is very poor and needs to be developed. Jagdish Langer highlighted issued regarding CLU, stating that same is not to upto mark and circle rates for private land for Industries are 3 to 4 lakh per kanal but the Government has fixed rate as Rs 16 lakh per Kanal. Rajan Gupta, President JPDA Jammu raised the point regarding Reliance/multi brand chains of smart points as same will impact trade. MP Jugal Kishore Sharma gave a patient hearing to the issues raised by CCI members and assured for taking up the issues with concerned departments.
