JAMMU: Mohit Chouhan, Keshav Singh Chib and Ajay Lakha of district Jammu emerged fastest runners winning the sprint gold in under-14, under-17 and under-19 age groups respectively on the day-one of the inter-district (boys) divisional level athletics meet being organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at MA Stadium, here on Tuesday.
Earlier, the competition was declared open by District Sports Officer (DYSS) Jammu, Sukh Dev Raj Sharma, who interacted with young athletes representing different districts of Jammu division.
The Results:
UNDER-19: 100 mts: Ajay Lakha, Jammu, Ist; Raman Deep Singh, Kathua,2nd and Gurdeep Singh, Samba, 3rd. 500 mts: Ajay Kumar, Jammu, Ist; Pardeep Singh, Udhampur, 2nd and Vijay Kumar, Reasi, 3rd. 800 mts: Parvez Ahmed, Jammu, Ist; Hoshiar Singh, Reasi, 2nd and Ajay Singh, Ramban, 3rd.
UNDER-17: 100 mts: Keshiv Singh Chib, Jammu, Ist; Mohd Toyaib Malik, Udhampur, 2nd and Romey Mehra, Kathua, 3rd. 800 mts: Manjeet Singh, Kathua, Ist; Mohd Munir, Jammu, 2nd and Ravi Sharma, Samba, 3rd. 600 mts: Rahul Singh, Samba, Ist; Saif Ali, Kathua, 2nd and Vishav Sharma, Udhampur, 3rd.
UNDER-14: 100 mts: Mohit Chouhan, Jammu, Ist; Shubam Singh, Samba, 2nd and Mohd Altaf, Reasi, 3rd.
