Samba: Police on Monday arrested main murder accused involved in infamous Mohali murder case who was absconding since the commission of crime.
Acting on reliable information, a police team headed by SHO Police Station Vijaypur apprehended one suspected person in suspicious circumstances in case FIR No. 162/2023 under Sections 341/323/392 of Police Station Vijaypur.
During sustained questioning, the accused turned out be main murder accused involved in infamous Mohali murder case in which gangster Rajesh Dogra alias Mohan Cheer was killed due to rivalry between two groups of illegal gangs.
The arrested main murder accused has been identified as Ranjeet Singh alias Rimpa, son of Ashok Singh, resident of Langeth Supwal, district Samba and was wanted in case FIR No. 19/2024 under Sections 302/120-B IPC and 25/54/59 Arms Act of Police Station Phase II, Mohali, Punjab.
The accused Ranjeet Singh alias Rimpa is a hardcore criminal and is also involved in case FIR No. 17/2010 under Sections 332/427/504/510 IPC and case FIR No. 71/2016 under Sections 332/427/504/510 IPC registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar, Jammu.
